People may need counselling at different times in their life, depending on things that are going on for them. People often find having counselling helps them when they are feeling:
- angry all the time
Or when they experience:
- panic attacks
- no desire to do anything
- loss of confidence
- relationship difficulties at home or at work
- physical illness
- job loss or unsettling change
- abuse or bullying
- compulsive behaviour
- a bereavement

Counselling sessions last for about 50 minutes and cost £40.
Sessions usually takes place at Wrexham Wellness Centre (above Schwarz Opticians), Charles Street, Wrexham, LL13 8BT.

Talk in confidence
Counselling is the opportunity for you to talk in confidence, with a qualified counsellor, about things that may be causing you to be unhappy, that may be confusing, painful or uncomfortable.
Even when we have lots of support around us, sometimes it helps to talk with someone independent of friends and family. The Counsellor is trained to listen without judging and to help you sort out your thoughts and feelings about whatever is concerning you.
Counselling can be short term or long term and is based on building a trusting relationship between yourself and the therapist. During your first session with the counsellor, there will be an opportunity to ask questions and decide if counselling feels right for you and if you want to continue with further sessions.
Our aim is to help you to tap into your inner resources to overcome problems, build your self confidence and esteem and regain your motivation for activities in life.
We use a variety of approaches, tailored to your needs, to help achieve this, some of which are described below.
