Module 4 – Summary

  • Why it is appropriate to use the Scale and for what aim
  • What you will do with the information afterwards, so you can gain appropriate permission from the person
  • At what point in the relationship with the client will you introduce the Scale as a tool
  • Have an appropriate venue and time allowed to complete the Scale
  • The ability of the person to understand the questions
  • The method of Scale completion to be used (person self completes, or HSF Practitioners interviews)

There are 5 key steps when administering the Scale

  • Introducing the Scale
  • Background data completion
  • Instructing how to answer
  • Asking the questions
  • Possible avenues with results
