Module 3 – Scoring the scale

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The best way to understand the scoring is to have a go with a completed questionnaire.  You can use the questionnaire you completed for yourself at the face to face training, transferring the answers to a new questionnaire, or fill another one in for yourself now.  This will also give you chance to refresh yourself of the questions, so they become second nature for when you are using the questionnaire with clients.

The Scores

Each Index can score up to 100.

For Satisfaction & Frustration Indices:

YES = 4, NO = 0, PERHAPS = 2.

In Satisfactions, where two or more parts are completed, score only the main role. If you do not do this you will invalidate the total Satisfaction score since the potential score would then be over 100.

The scoring for the Synthesis is simply totalling the raw scores.

Scoring Under the Questions

At bottom of each area on the questionnaire are spaces for the total score in that area.

The first space is the total of all the ‘yes’ 4’s.

The second space is all the 4’s plus the 2’s.

Have a go with the following examples.

shows which answers have been circled.) What scores would you put for D.?

A.             B.              C.              D.

Y P N      Y P N       Y P N       Y P N

Y P N      Y P N       Y P N       Y P N

Y P N      Y P N       Y P N       Y P N

Y P N      Y P N       Y P N       Y P N

Y P N      Y P N       Y P N        Y P N

16/18     16/16         0/8         ? / ?

A. YYYYP = 4+4+4+4 = 16 first space, + 2 = 18 second space – 16/18.

B. YYYYN = 4+4+4+4 = 16 first space, + 0 = 16 second space – 16/16.

C. PPPPN = 0 first space, +2+2+2+2 = 8 second space – 0/8.

D. YNNYP = ?? first space, + ?? second space – ? / ?.
